Sam at In Nature Movers

About Me

I'm Sam, founder of In Nature Movers and Sea Swim Torquay.

I am at my happiest when I am outdoors, either being active or just enjoying nature and my surroudings. I was lucky enough to grow up in Devon with a family who valued the outdoors – and this is something I have taken through life with me. I have worked teaching Outdoor Education both in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

It was my Mum that initially found Nature Moves/Wildstrong through social media. She said she thought it looked fun and fancied trying a session – but there were none in Devon!

I have now trained to deliver those sessions locally and it’s been the best thing I have done in a long time. It’s just so much fun!

Through In Nature Movers I am hoping to enable people to experience that same happiness that I find. I aspire to get people moving in ways that they had forgotten. I am hoping that people will feel liberated - having permission to play!

As we get older it seems that we are expected to slow downand stop playing – but who made that rule? At In Nature Movers we are going to break some of the rules around movement and play.

And have you heard it said ‘its all just fine until you can’t put your own socks on’. Well we aim to keep being able to put our socks on for a long time yet!

I’m looking forward to you joining our community and becoming an In Nature Mover.

About In Nature Movers

In Nature Movers was created to rethink how we approach movement — especially for those who feel excluded from traditional fitness spaces.

We focus on building strength, confidence, and connection through simple, engaging activities that take place outdoors.

Our sessions are designed to:
- Support long-term physical wellbeing
- Encourage social interaction
- Help people feel more confident in their bodies

What You Can Expect

Our Philosophy

We believe movement should be part of everyday life — not something separate, intimidating, or exclusive.

Our philosophy is simple:
- Movement should build confidence, not pressure
- It should be adaptable, not prescriptive
- It should be shared, not isolating

By focusing on practical, real-world movement, we help people develop:
- Strength
- Mobility
- Resilience
- Confidence for life
